I’m reviewing some videos here on Sketchwright.
For now, I’m only reviewing videos that were shot for video. Recordings of sketches that were performed in a theater for an audience are probably not going to make it here, because they are usually poor quality (audio/video).
Sketches are rated on a scale of 0 stars to 5 stars.
0 stars – crap
* – not very good, but with some good parts
** – I enjoyed the sketch. Recommended.
*** – Highly recommended.
**** – Very highly recommended.
***** – WOW!
Actually, I’ll also give some sketches negative stars, if they really suck. I can also go into negative numbers if, after looking at one bad sketch, I go into their other videos and see they are all bad.
A little on how I think: I favor well-written sketches with good premises. I favor sketches that explore the premise. I tend to mark down parodies and game shows. I also tend to be hard on sketches in general.
I don’t expect you to agree with my opinions. I’m not writing these to tell you what you’ll enjoy. I’m writing these to tell you what I enjoy, and if you agree with me then maybe we can work together.
If the sketch comes from a big website, I’ll embed it here, but if it comes from a small group with their own website I’ll just link to it.
If you have any good sketches you’d like me to review, please email me a link. When I randomly search for sketches I find mostly crap out there, and I’d prefer to advertise the good stuff, rather than the crap.
