Sketchwriting 101
I’m writing up some posts on the basics of writing sketches.
Am I an expert? No, but I have some information to share. I’ve read books, taken one-day classes, and taken a one-week workshop. Also, I did a bunch of sketchwriting and performing for about 7 years with the Pork Filled Players.
Who is the target? Mainly, the members of any sketch troupe I join or create in the future. I want to make sure as much as possible that we have a foundation of certain bits of knowledge.
These should really be considered drafts. I’m not going to spend a lot of time revising them before I post them to the public, but I will be revising them as I get questions and revisit the entries. I’m not sure if I’ll note the changes. I might just make the edits and leave them where they are, or I might make major edits and “republish” them to the top of the front page. We’ll see.
